Discussion Guide
These questions are designed to spark honest, compassionate conversation — in book clubs, classrooms, family dinners, workplaces, or anywhere people gather. There are no right answers. The goal is simply to feel a little less alone.

Tips for a good discussion
- • No pressure to share. These are invitations, not requirements. It's okay to just listen.
- • One voice at a time. Let each person finish before responding.
- • What's shared in the room stays in the room — unless someone asks for help, in which case take that seriously.
- • If the conversation goes somewhere difficult, slow down. That's usually where the most important things live.
- • Crisis resources: If anyone is struggling, the Canada Suicide Crisis Helpline is 9-8-8 (call or text, 24/7).
